A Three-fer

A second grader is spending two days in ISS (in school suspension). The Instructional Coach is giving him directives on his behavior while she is out of the room and a Substitute Teacher is filling in for her. Ms R explains that the Substitute is in charge and will report back to her if he doesn't behave.

After listening to the directives he looks up from his chair to Ms R and says "She's your friend isn't she?"

A first grade conversation overheard in the cafeteria line:

"Those corndogs have big nuts in them!"

A Kindergarten age boy comes into the office to wait for his mom and he has a picture drawn on his forehead with a green marker. I ask him "have you been drawing on yourself again?"

He says with a sigh of disgust, "NO, Joe (not his real name) wrote on me."

"Joe just walked up to you and wrote on your face?"

"No.... first he punched me in the stomach and then he wrote on my face. Yeah, he hit me so hard I almost coughed up my spine."

(It's Valentines week.... Kindergarten is learning about hearts and other body parts.)
